Bio

Michael Glass was named Head Women's Basketball Coach on Friday, April 26th 2024 following a nationwide search. 

“I am excited to have Michael join our Timberwolves Pack.” comments Antonishen. “It was clear throughout the interview process that he is someone who believes in the mission and values of North Central Michigan College, and has a proven track record of player development, building positive team culture and success. I have complete confidence that he will build our Women’s Basketball program into a contender in the MCCAA Northern Conference.”

Coach Glass comes to North Central after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Grand Rapids Community College. While at GRCC, Coach Glass helped lead the team to a trip to NJCAA DII National Championship in 2023.  

Prior to coaching at GRCC, Glass a native of Leland, Michigan, worked as a public school educator and high school girls coach in the Grand Rapids area making a career at Forest Hills Northern, Grand Rapids West Catholic, and Caledonia high schools. Glass got his coaching start when he took over the legendary Leland High School Girls’ Basketball coaching position from his father, Larry Glass.

Michael Glass has a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Administration from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University.
