New NCMC Record and multiple Personal Records set by Men’s Cross Country at Jayhawks Invite

Muskegon, MI – Three members of the Men’s Cross Country team broke their personal records at the Jayhawks Invitational running against some of the top NJCAA Region XII teams as well as four year institutions.

Benjamin Knott (Pellston/Homeschool) and JT Greenier (Boyne Falls/Boyne Falls) continue to improve as they each broke their personal records two races in a row. Two weeks ago at the Firebirds Invitational both moved their personal bests and this weekend they moved that needle even further as they ramp up for the MCCAA & Region XII Championship in two weeks.

Sophomore, Zach Maendel (Petoskey/St. Michaels Academy), broke the North Central Men’s Cross Country record which happened to be his own personal record from one year ago. He finished the 8K race with a time of 27:35.

Results

Zach Maendel – 27:35 (PR & NCMC Record)

Truman Maher – 33:15

Benjamin Knott – 34:49 (PR)

JT Greenier – 39:31 (PR)
