LeBaron named NJCAA DII VB Offensive Player of the Week

Charlotte, NC - The NJCAA national office released the National Players of the Week and for the first time ever a North Central Michigan College Timberwolf has earned this honor. Freshman setter, Laken LeBaron (Freeland/Freeland) was named the NJCAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

In last weeks performance the Timberwolves (16-5, 6-1) went 2-0 defeating NJCAA D3 ranked #13 opponent Delta College at home and Montcalm CC on the road to end round one of MCCAA Northern Conference play. During the sweeps LeBaron had a stand out week where she averaged 10.16 assists per set. This average, thanks to her teammates putting away fantastic kills, is above her season average. 

Beyond the 10.16 assists per set she also contriubted 3 service aces and 5 kills.
